I was a detective once.

Because my camera sees things I don’t.
Every photograph reveals fragments of violent crimes—victims, killers, and moments frozen in time. Faces appear that weren’t there when I took the picture. Ghostly scenes unfold in the developed images, showing me secrets the dead can’t let go of.
Now, when murder comes calling, I become something I never wanted to be: a detective for the dead.
With the help of a stubborn police detective, an overly protective seizure-alert dog, and a camera that refuses to let the past stay buried, I hunt killers one photograph at a time.
The dead have stories to tell.
I just happen to be the one holding the camera.
