State of the Realm!
When last I posted, it was to make a deleted scene available to those who wished to read it for the Eldritch Files – A series that will always be close to my heart.
Since then, I’ve been working steadily on side projects, as well as the new Urban Fantasy Series, Oak & Ash & Thorn, with a promise of making it available at the end of the year. So this brings me to the next question I get frequently…”Why isn’t the new series available yet?”
Good question. Answer — Because I wanted to either release the books at once, or in rapid succession. And those books aren’t finished yet (books 1 & 2 are done, 3 is WiP). I’m also working on the 4th book in the AJ Brahms series, CAST IN SHADOW. The estimated publication on QUOTH THE RAVEN, NEVERMORE, is beginning of 2018.
There have been several personal issues that have delayed the new series; issues that are mine alone and have to do with family and health. My editor (Chelly Peeler at Ink It Out Editing Services) and my Cover artist (Lou Harper at Lou Harper Designs) have been gracious, beautiful and patient at my long delays.
But, in order to give readers something for the Holiday season, I’m putting what I call A Book Of My Heart on sale until December 25th.
FROST – A TALE OF JACK FROST. This story came to me after watching the original Jack Frost from Rankin / Bass. My daughter and I had just watched Rise of the Guardians as well and had fallen in love with that movie, especially the portrayal of Jack.
Given my love of urban fantasy, I wanted to write my own Jack Frost, but with a bit of Dark Fantasy. Usually it sits in the inventory and sells for $2.99, but for the Holidays it’s up for .99¢!

How often had I shown that face indifference as I shaved it? Washed it. And on occasion cursed it. I’d seen it green when sick, red when sunburned, and painted for Halloween.
But I’d never seen it dead.”
Something else I wanted to offer readers is the first 3 books of the CAST IN SHADOW series. This series is under the pen name AJ Brahms, an agreed upon moniker between myself and another writer. That writer has now moved on and I will be continuing the series on my own.

But to give readers something to cozy up with this Holiday, the first 3 books are on sale for .99¢! On sale till December 25th.
I am a Vampire’s worst Nightmare. I am a Ghoul with no Master.
I’m also a photographer, and a sort of investigator. I tried to live my life away from the Vampires, and away from their rules and restrictions, but my training as a Chevalier, a Vampire’s Knight, made that impossible when the Prince of the City’s largest Vampire Family, Jedediah Talmadge, called on me to solve a mystery. That of a dead body left on the doorstep of their public home.
A series of events spiraled my life out of control, and where I am now, is simply something you’ll have to discover. And where am I going? That is a story still left to tell.
So, what’s on for the new year in 2018? I’ll list up the series / books now on the schedule, but I’m not sure about exact dates yet. The listing here isn’t in order either. Some might not be till 2019. But I’ll post here first when I know!
